Pizza and Pasta: Healthy New Twists on Old Favorites

There's no need to go without pizza and pasta when you're gluten-free and dairy free. And you don’t have to settle for pizza that tastes like tomato sauce covered cardboard with tasteless cheese on top, or pasta that turns to a glop of starch in the pot or even so called pizza that’s really a cracker with salad on top. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against the raw pizza that’s really just a salad atop a cracker. They are actually quite tasty. But pizza? C’mon. I’m an Italian from New York and you just can’t call a cold salad on a cracker pizza.

Going gluten and dairy free is great for your waistline, your cholesterol, your hormones and your mood. There are new studies supporting this daily. And it doesn’t have to be like a prison sentence. When you break out of the flour substitution game and create pizza crusts from whole, raw seeds, nuts, sprouted grains and vegetables, you open up a whole new world. Say good bye to cardboard and hello to amazing flavor.

When you “Go raw” or “Give up dairy” or “Go gluten Free” you open up a whole new world of flavor, texture and comfort that you never even knew existed.

Gluten, a protein found in wheat and other grains, and casein, a protein found in dairy protein have been implicated in a wide range of health conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, such as Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis, irritable bowel, asthma, ear infections, sinus congestion, eczema, autistic spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and sensory integration disorder.

Traditional pizza and pasta are made from refined flour that robs your body of B-vitamins, creates blood sugar swings that zap your energy and increases your risk of heart disease.

Our healthy alternatives are loaded with nutrition and bursting with flavor.

There’s no need to feel deprived when you decide to make healthy changes in your diet. With a little creativity and advance planning, you can enjoy mouthwatering pizza, lasagna, ravioli and spaghetti that’s brimming with nutritious goodness.

In our class “Pizza and Pasta Come Alive: Gluten Free, Dairy Free New Twists on Old Favorites” you’ll explore ideas for a romantic Italian meal for you and that special someone.
